From the chaos of the rise to fame to begging God for a fireside chat, the lyrics, and the story cover a lot of territory. They shifted genres and gears like a racecar driver taking a hairpin turn at the top possible speed. Covering lots of ground and telling a massive story, Savatage played everything from power ballads to Irish jigs to progressive metal. Streets: A Rock Opera was an ambitious project from start to finish.
